Game Room improves…but does anyone notice?

Here is a place that I have not frequented in a while, Xbox 360’s Game Room. After a strong start early in the year I quickly put the Game Room behind me as I was not interested in a series of poor Atari 2600, Intellivision, and Arcade offerings that seemed to be the order of the day. The quality and quantity of games and a developer Krome all but disappearing into the night, it appeared to me that Game Room was going the way of 1 vs 100. But Game Room yet lives, and believe it or not, it is better than ever.
While the promised games have dwindled from 7 a week to maybe 2 or 3, they are still arriving. While the quality is still shaky, recent titles such as Pitfall II, Pooyan, and Blades of Steel have captured my attention. Once alerted to these new games I was also led to discover that the Game Room client has gone through some significant improvements as well.
Aesthetically and functionally, the Game Room is a more interesting area to visit as well as offering improvements to your Medal and Leaderboard tracking. At this point, all Game Room is missing is some great new games and a growing community. If Microsoft gives Game Room some TLC and promotion, it could once again be something to get excited about. My hope is that will be the case.
