One thing I have been missing from my blog over the last year is mention of Indie Games in my blog. The reason for that is I have not been following that scene very closely since it arrived late last year. And since Indie Games (formerly Community Games) has been on the scene it has been struggling with identity crisis and lack of publicity. Fortunately the powers that be made some changes in the pricing structure and the name to make the Indie Games scene more attractive to gamers and developers alike. While there is still a struggle for acceptance, especially in the face of competition, in particular from the iTouch and iPhone, Indie Games is gaining some traction.
One of the leaders in the new Indie Games movement is the above game, I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1. At 80 MS Points ($1) this game is worth it for the music alone. A twin-stick shooter with a time limit and 4 player local co-op, it is a great game if you just want a quick shooter experience. Last night I was able to hit the end of the game and rang up a score of 852,190! This game keeps you on your toes and entertained. So if you are looking for a an excuse to try out an Indie Game, I recommend you giving this one a try.
Hopefully in the future I will have more on Indie Games as I explore the ever-growing catalogue of titles.
