Well, I was suitably impressed with the MP demo that I went ahead and purchased this game when it was totally off my radar. I have played through the first two levels, and while I found no ‘wow’ factor, I would describe the game as fun. Frontlines is not going to unseat Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six, or Ghost Recon, but it does stand on its own as a military FPS with some unique ‘future weapons’ to freshen up the genre.
At the end of the day I did buy the game for its big multi-player experiences. So far I have had difficulty finding a decent game or even being allowed into one. I expected more from dedicated servers, I will give them the benefit of the doubt as I already had a taste of how much fun it will be from the demo.
In conclusion, Frontlines is a great bridging game that while not reinventing anything, stands solidly of its future war foundation. I also plan on staying for the multiplayer!
