Since I have purchased Assassins’s Creed I have really been enjoying it. It was brought to my attention in a podcast about its similarity to Crackdown, and I can totally see why. The exploring of 3 towns, finding flags instead of orbs, the simple attack quests that lead to a final boss confrontation. So far the parallels are holding true, though I am quite early into the game. Even though the game seems quite repetitve thus far I can’t get enough of the combat, climbing, and the sheer beauty of this game. While it may not be for everyone and the games repetitive nature may rub people the wrong way, I would at this time still highly recommend this title. Stay tuned for more as I get further along.
News of the day! Ubisoft has announced a sequal to 2006’s shooter of the year. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is on its way in 2008! Here is an excerpt from the press release:
As expected with one of the pioneer franchises for online multiplayer Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will also break new ground in both co-op and adversarial modes, while providing unprecedented interaction between the solo and multiplayer modes.
By far RB6:V was underappricated and underplayed by gamers in my circle. I hope the same mistake will not be made twice!
