Halo Highlight Reel: Back to Basics

In anticipation of the impending release of Halo 3, I thought I would go back and revisit the other titles in the series and play through the story once again.  Last night I dusted off the original Halo (first time in nearly 3 years) and began to work my way through the campaign.

First off, once I booted up this game I quickly understood how this game became a breakaway hit.  Six years ago this game became the standard in console FPS for good reason.  The control, the graphics, the sound, the story, the gameplay were all second to none.  Even today this game stands out due to its superior quality.

As I am more interested in playing the story rather than challanging myself so i set the difficulty to Easy, and easy it is.  Last night I played through the first levels: The Pillar of Autumn, Halo, and Truth and Reconciliation.  It was fun going back and working over the covenant old-skool!  I plan on continuing my game again tonight, and hopefully I can open the lid on some more Halo 2 action, in particular i would like to get some play on those new maps I purchased.

So I have some Halo summer fun i front of me: campaigns, comic books, ARGs, books, and a little multi-player on the side.  Before long, September 25th will be just around the corner!

I like CFL Football, Video Games, and Social Media....so here I am!
